Dental implants in Grand Prairie, Arlington, Commerce and Paris, TX

A missing tooth affects how you chew, speak and smile, and the bone under the gap slowly shrinks over time. Dental implants replace the tooth root as well as the visible tooth, so the new tooth is anchored in your jaw. Sonria Dentista offers implant care at all four of our North Texas offices, with a written treatment plan and price before anything starts.

About Dental Implants

A dental implant is a small post, usually made of titanium, that is placed in the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Over a few months the bone bonds to the post. A connector called an abutment then holds a crown, a bridge or a denture on top. Implants can replace a single tooth, several teeth in a row, or support a full arch of teeth.

Why patients choose dental implants

  • You are missing one tooth, several teeth or a full arch
  • A tooth is broken or infected and cannot be saved
  • Your denture slips, rubs or makes eating hard
  • You want a replacement that does not rely on the teeth next to the gap
  • You want to help keep the jawbone from shrinking where a tooth is missing

Treatment options

Single-tooth implant

One implant post and a crown replace one missing tooth. The teeth on either side are not shaped or changed.

Implant-supported bridge

Two or more implants support a bridge that replaces several missing teeth in a row, without relying on natural teeth for support.

Implant over-dentures

A full denture snaps onto implants so it stays in place when you eat and talk, and still comes out for cleaning.

All-on-4 full arch

A fixed arch of teeth is supported by four implants and stays in your mouth like natural teeth.

What to expect

  1. 1

    Exam and X-rays

Your dentist checks your teeth, gums and bone, reviews your health history and explains which implant options fit your case.

  2. 2

    Written treatment plan

You receive your plan, timeline and price in writing, and the team reviews your insurance and financing options.

  3. 3

    Implant placement

The implant post is placed in the jaw with local anesthesia. A temporary tooth or denture can keep your smile complete while you heal.

  4. 4

    Final teeth

After the bone bonds to the implant, usually over several months, your permanent crown, bridge or denture is attached and adjusted.

Benefits

  • Looks, feels and works much like a natural tooth
  • Does not require shaping the neighboring teeth
  • Helps preserve jawbone where the implant is placed
  • Can last many years with good home care and checkups

Risks and limitations

  • Treatment takes several months because the bone needs time to heal around the implant
  • You need enough healthy bone, or bone grafting first, which adds time and cost
  • Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and gum disease raise the risk that an implant will not bond or will fail later
  • As with any surgery, there are risks such as infection, bleeding or, rarely, nerve or sinus injury, which your dentist reviews with you

Recovery and aftercare

  • Expect some swelling and soreness for a few days after placement; follow your dentist's instructions for pain relief and soft foods
  • Keep the area clean with gentle brushing and any rinse your dentist recommends
  • Brush twice a day, clean between teeth and around implants daily, and keep regular checkups
  • Wear a night guard if your dentist recommends one for grinding

Cost, insurance and financing

Single-tooth implants start at $2,499, implant-retained over-dentures start at $6,999 and All-on-4 is $15,999 per arch. These are starting prices for standard cases. Your exact cost is confirmed in writing after your exam and X-rays, and extractions, bone grafting or other added procedures can change the total. The team can review your dental insurance and third-party financing options before treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Does getting a dental implant hurt?

The area is numbed before treatment, so most patients feel pressure rather than sharp pain. Soreness afterward is usually manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers for a few days. Your dentist will explain what to expect for your case.

How long does the implant process take?

Most cases take several months from placement to final teeth because the bone needs time to bond with the implant. Bone grafting or extractions can add time. You receive a timeline with your treatment plan.

Can I get an implant if I have bone loss?

Often yes. Bone grafting can rebuild the area, or an option such as implant over-dentures or All-on-4 may be planned around the bone you have. Your exam and X-rays show what is possible.

Which Sonria offices offer dental implants?

Implant care is offered at our Grand Prairie, Arlington, Commerce and Paris offices. Dr. Hema Kishore Chapala, who has placed more than 2,000 implants, sees implant patients in Arlington and Grand Prairie, and Dr. Tarun Mundluru's work includes implants in Commerce and Paris.
